| Baptist Homes launched it's newest service to seniors over five years ago with the addition of three locations where assisted living services are available. Communities with twelve apartments each were opened. In 2006, we added 4 beds to the Russellville community, making it a sixteen bed operation. BHI Assited Living in Glasgow and Danville each operate as twelve bed resources. These three assisted living communities were designed in a virtually identical way until the addition was built in Russellville. They provide a very homelike atmosphere and opportunities for abundant staff attention. Both ladies and gentlemen are welcome and can thrive in these close-knit communities. A central core in the building contains a spacious community area, a kitchen and a separate dinning room where truly home cooked and nutritious meals are served each mealtime. There's a laundry area and a central bathroom with space for the beautician to do hair and nails, and an office for the manager. The resident rooms each have a private bathroom as well. |

| In
Kentucky, assisted living is certified by the Commonwealth and is seen as
a social model and not a medical model. This means that no medical services
are available in our units but with our dedicated staff, there is opportunity
for seniors to prolong a level of independence not possible while remaining
alone in their own homes. Our staff is on duty twenty-four hours each day. Transportation for residents can be arranged and a genuine feeling of family is apparent in these warmly inviting settings. |
